Billy has never say or sing political word. He always sings about our generation. A lot of people consider this album heavy and serious.....
Certainly, this album has heavy and serious themes. American who were born in from 50's to 60's should find wonderful life " If we work hard If we behaved "....But it had never come true. " They threw an American flag in our face ".
But I think this album is hopeful. Billy wants to say " It's getting hard to stay here, but we're American and we're going to stick it out."

Also, Billy wrote about his generation through this album. When this album released, he said " Heavy Metal music for young people, AOR music for olders. But there is no music between them." The song " Where's The Orchestra? " has two kinds of sounds. One side sounds only Billy's vocal.The other side sounds only orchestra. This means distance of music about his generation.... He made " THE BRIDGE " for music of his generation!
Everytime I listen to this album, I could see influence of THE BEATLES on his music.

Even if times are changing, worth of this album would never disappear. This must be one of the greatest album in rock and roll history!
