I find it remarkable that the songs seem to have no age at all,
they still sound fresh und brillant, they are even getting better every time you'd listen to them.
He is a great composer and a poet with the talent to say things everybody knows - but one can hardly name them.
An Innoncent Man is one of my all time favorites ...not to mention all the other songs...

Most people on the planet have heard "Uptown Girl". And why not? It is a great song, a wonderful homage to the 1950s sound. But there is a rich tapestry in this album. Play it again tonight. And then play it again on the way to work. Billy's vocals are immense - and his song writing seems as effortless as breathing. You can dance, you can sing out loud, you can dance around the kitchen - and you can also shed a tear in places. It is a perfect length, and songs like "Easy Money" and "Careless Talk" should be rediscovered. It was one of the first CDs I bought.

Not my favorite

This album is not my favorite but it is a good album. I love the Jazzy, Pop rock and roll feel fo it. Very up beat! I love Easy money, Tell her about it, Uptown girl, Te longest time, and Leave a Tender moment alone. All great songs. But for some reason I hate Keeping the faith. It just does not suck me in at all. I just dont like that song.

But over all a great album. The only thing thats makes you dislike it is when you compare it to some of his other albums.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10

This song was my first exposure to Billy Joel. When I was a child, I used to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. There was one episode where the Chipmunks and Chipettes went into a children's hospital and sang this song to the kids in the beds.

I LOVED this song ever since and I have loved Billy's music ever since. Such an ecclectic taste and yet so heartfelt.... I am a very big fan of Billy Joel.

Keep up the great work, Billy.
