Billy Joel and his band perform ”Half A Mile Away” from Billy’s 1978 album 52nd Street at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. Before the song, Billy said that he had never played the song live before. He and his band played it flawlessly to an audience that loved every second of it and knew that they were listening to, perhaps, a once-in-a-lifetime performance. Here’s hoping that this audience was merely the first one to hear this seemingly forgotten song in concert and not the only one.
