Billy Joins Paul McCartney For Encore At Yankee Stadium

Paul McCartney’s On The Run Tour kicked off at Yankee Stadium this past weekend for 2 sold-out nights, Friday July 15th and Saturday July 16th. It has been almost two years since Paul played Citi Field in 2009. Billy Joel joined Paul during his first encore with “I Saw Her Standing There,” which had the Saturday night crowd dancing in the aisles.

One Stop on the Storm Front Tour

It was twenty-one years ago, June 22nd & 23rd, 1990, hot Friday and Saturday nights, when the Storm Front Tour touched down at the old Yankee Stadium. With the local weather on his side, Billy played 2 sold-out nights, which were filmed and later released on home video. As heard on every radio station in the tri-state area, “The house that Ruth built was about to Rock!” It was the longest tour in Billy’s career. The tour began at the Worcester Centrum Centre, on December 6, 1989, achieving its finale in Mexico City at the Palacio De Los Deportes, on March 24th, 1991. Enjoy these clips from our archives.
