Paul McCartney’s On The Run Tour kicked off at Yankee Stadium this past weekend for 2 sold-out nights, Friday July 15th and Saturday July 16th. It has been almost two years since Paul played Citi Field in 2009. Billy Joel joined Paul during his first encore with “I Saw Her Standing There,” which had the Saturday night crowd dancing in the aisles.

I was there! It was so great to see Billy Joel on stage with Paul! I saw the Last Play At Shea and wished I could've been there and it kind of happened but in reverse at Yankee Stadium! I freaked out when Paul said his name! Me and my dad knew that he would come and yet we weren't expecting it! I thought it was fun how Billy Joel left bowing at Paul because even though they are buddies, Paul is still his idol and he almost seems starstruck! It was also funny because my dad and I had just gone to Billy's 20th Centruy Cycles earlier that day. We talked with his personal machanic about the bikes and stuff. He was working on Bruce Springsteen's bike when we were there! Billy wasn't there but they place was awesome! The bikes are beautiful Billy! I love the Moto Guzzi's! (He wore a Moto Guzzi hat to the concert!)
