I attended this concert

In response to Bella:

I attended this Chicago concert and also had just seen Billy in Madison, WI on May 9. In my opinion, compared to the May 7 concert he seemed very hoarse and less energetic, as if he was coming down with something. Billy and Elton still had the complete show. However, Billy let one of his "roadies" sing "Highway to Hell" instead of singing "Don't Ask Me Why." I was very disappointed at the time, but looking back on it, I wonder if Billy was trying to give his voice a break for a few minutes in the middle of his set of songs.

So sorry for all the folks in Buffalo Sad At least the Albany crowd found out ahead of time. I know how sad I would have been if I arrived in Chicago to find out the show was cancelled. Thank God it wasn't! And do you want to hear something so strange? I bought a tan F2F t-shirt in Madison. On the back is the list of tour towns and dates and the list jumps right from the Chicago show on 7/21 to Philadelphia on 7/30! It's as if those NY shows ill-fated to begin with! This shirt was not for sale in Chicago, perhaps because it didn't have all the tour dates! But how weird those dates are not on my shirt, which is now an accurate list of the cities!

Even though it seemed Billy was not up to par, the concert still rocked!! 5 out of 5 stars for sure!! Billy Joel is AMAZING!!! Smiling

Could someone please post on the 21st show in Chicago?

I am really curious, since the Buffalo show was postponed ont he 24th with only a few hours notice for most of those who purchased tickets, the local media said that Billy Joel fell ill after his Boston performance which was the 18th. So what I'm asking was the 21st show in Chicago actually held or was that cancelled too? If it was then this really sucks that the Buffalo folks found out so late when they should have heard about it a few days prior to the event.
