Billy, you were simply awesome (again) in Perth. Seen you 3 times in Perth now.
You have fans everywhere, but seeing my 8 year old nephew in awe of your stage presence and singing along to your classic hits really topped off that night.
No amount of rain could disappoint us Perthies - even if you did send your dad along in your place
This was the 4th time I have seen Billy. Previous times were Shea Stadium, New Year's eve 1989, which was the Stormfront tour.
I also saw him in perth in the 1990's and then with Elton John at Subiaco.
It was great to hear some of the older songs like Zanzibar again in this concert. Although we got slightly wet I was lucky enough to be hear the ground around 4.30 pm and hear him practicing songs like Christmas in Fallujah and Vienna.
During the concert apart from the great songs I enjoyed the humour and the Waltzing Matilda cameos.
Billy and his band are high quality performers. I have been listening to his music for years. Best wishes for the rest of the tour.
Thank you, Thank you!!
What a concert...a real performer with an amazing performance..Thoroughly enjoyable.
Who else could transfix you on a blustery, raining out in the open evening! I have been a fan of all his work and think he is truly musical genius on a most entertaining level. An inspiration now to my young children who are learning piano! Thanks for the spectacular concert and do come back..WE LOVE YOU!!!
My first Billy Joel Concert and 'his dad' didn't dissapoint. Truly excellent, the band were fantastic, Billy came across as a genuine and funny guy who despite the weather put out a wonderful performance. I could have listened to him forever and didn't want the concert to end.
On Oct 15th, I stated that Billy's concert in Perth would not disappoint.
And did it??.....HELL NO!
Billy is a rock god! and I challenge anyone who has been to his concert to say otherwise.
He played through the wind and the rain as the true entertainer that he is. I even feel that he gave more of himself at this concert, with his humour and impersonations. I loved every minute of it.
To Billy, thank you so much for one of the most wonderful nights of my life.
I have loved Billy's music for decades. I hoped to see him live one day and last night I did! He was absolutely amazing! My husband and I braved the wind and rain. Sat waiting for hours for him to come on and when he did we were not disappointed! He was worth every cent of the tickets! He played a great variety of songs spanning back decades. He made us howl with laughter doing his impression of Julio! When his roadie sang High way to Hell the place bounced! Even the Fremantle Football coach who was sitting behind us was tapping his feet. A great night was had by all and I will certainly go back to see him again. Thank you so much Billy for coming to Perth, to many great bands, artists don't come because we aren't Sydney or Melbourne. YOU ROCK BILLY !!! thanks again.

What to say? Billy Joel never ceases to impress and entertain. I first saw him in concert 21 years ago - he has simply gotten better with age. Can't wait to see him again!
Today is the day after the greatest concert I've seen. Members Equity Stadium was a great venue even though it rained and the wind nearly blew Billy away.
I saw Billy and the band in 2006 at the Burswood Dome and even though he was fantastic the sound quality wasn't - this was just a thousand times better! To me this concert was all about why I love Billy Joel, he did lots of hits but some obscure songs that never went to #1 and even an instrumental which really made the band shine!
He's such a funny guy and it's hillarious to hear him say things like "Hi, I'm Billy's dad - Billy couldn't make it tonight!" Can't wait to see him again, maybe with Elton John next time! 5 STARS!
after being a fan all of my life i finally got to see the man doing his thing live...the weather was rubbish but that did not dampen the atmosphere billy was beyond great the band were awesome and my highlight was singing along to PIANO MAN in the drizzling rain all in all i had the best time i have ever had at a concert ...as the song says he is the entertainer............ way cool

Just got back recently from seeing Billy perform at Members Equity Stadium here in Perth, Western Australia!! What an amazingly consistantly excellent performer! All the big hits were there with "Piano Man", "An Innocent Man", "Allentown", "We didnt start the fire" and "Just the way you are". A poignant moment for me was when Billy played "Vienna" as that is my favourite hit and it was reproduced by Billy and the band to perfection.
The only numbers I liked and that couldnt be included into the set (or the encore) was "Tell her about it" and "The Stranger" but that is of little consequence when you consider the performance as a whole.
There is little else to say other than Thankyou Billy for bringing entertainment plus. The presence of the stage and lighting equipment alone was impressive by itself and also contributed to the overall experience.
Billy also is quick to catch into the "hometown" theme and brought out the roadie "chainsaw" who sang a great version of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" which added to the great entertainment value of the night.
Definitely 5 star entertainment and if you ever get a chance to see Billy Joel live I recommend you do it while the opportunity lasts!!!
Wow, I have loved his music forever. I saw him in Concert for the first time at the age of 13 after the release of "The Stranger". 17 concert attendances later, he still blows me away.
It was a very unseasonably cold night and it bucketed down with rain from time to time but it never dampened the spirits of anyone there, least of all myself and my husband. I sang along to very song and smiled from ear to ear.
It was an honour and a privilage to hear Billy perform "Christmas in Feluja(sp)" I SO wish I had recorded it on my mobile phone as I may never get to hear him sing it again, It was the ONLY song he played that I actually just sat back and listened - it was new to me (believe it or not!) and very poignant. I've already searched, he has never recorded it with he himself singing.
So he braved the cold, made fun of the wind and started his Australian tour to a pretty much capacity crowd.
My first outdoor concert ever, the sound quality was impeccable. The tickets sat on my fridge for so long waiting for tonight to arrive and now sadly, it is over.
Well done Billy, I have always loved watching you do what you do so well and hope there is another chance for me to make it to concert number 18!

Finally you're back man. Hope we get to hear Miami 2017 and Great Wall of China. Been to every Perth show since 1987 and just know this show will rock! Cheers Nick
