What a wonderful night!

Thanks Billy gave my wife and me a wonderful night. I was crying when I heard the intro of "The Piano Man". Waiting over 24 years for his lives show is really too long to me. Even though he did not play "The Longest Time" and "This Night" in stage, his outstanding performance and the excellent arrangement had already satisified all the audiences and we had enjoyed very much. I wish to see Billy in Hong Kong very soon.

Last night's performance was awesome! I've always known that Billy is electrifying on stage and being at a Billy Joel concert is much more than merely being at a concert, it's an experience! But it's only now that I've finally seen him live on stage have I seen the full stretch of his artistry. Billy was in very fine voice last night. His singing and his voice is only becoming better and stronger with time. The energy was unbelievable! The rundown, the band, and the sound quality of the show was superb! 2 solid hours of pure bliss! A full 10/10!

I was extremely happy to see that my fiancee also had an absolutely fantastic time. It was her first Billy Joel concert too! Thanks darling for the tickets!

I must however echo fmike32's comment (see below) that the majority of the audience last night arrived late! Perhaps they were thinking that the show would not start until 8:45pm or after. Little did they know that it would kick-off at 8:30pm. The Arena was a only about 60% filled when the show started, but it did gradually fill-up to near capacity shortly after. Hey, if you were late, it's your loss!

Thank you Billy again for finally coming to Hong Kong to perform. ( I heard you say at the press conference that you've actually been to Hong Kong 10 times before just to enjoy the city. Keep coming back!) I look forward to your next concert here, please include Hong Kong again on your next tour of Australasia. Hope you'll also get back into the studio soon to put together a new album. You have no idea how much your fans around the world are waiting for that!

Stirring Performance. A good time had by all!

Billy gave a stirring performance of his briliantly crafted timeless hits. I think he sounds better and better, year by year. What a great artist! And, what a great back up crew. Especially enjoyed Mark Rivera and Crystal Taliefero. The impromptu performance by longtime roadie "Chainsaw" was a surprising and delightful addition! No one will boo this guy's act off stage. My wife and I had a great time!

Have to apologize for Hong Kong's impolite tardiness in arriving and being seated on time.

Great show last night! The house was packed with energy! Imagine, no intermission in between!

I really liked the joke about Billy not being able to come and have his father perform last night Hehe..

I grew up with Billy in NYC and could never make it to a concert because they were always sold out & as a kid, couldn't come up with the cash to see him. Then I move to Hong Kong. I can't believe he's coming here. I wish he would play here 10 nights & I can come to every one. I can't wait. I'm loosing it! I'm driving around with the car top down with the radio on. I'm driving through the city tonight in a hot new rent-a-car.

After a very long wait, a good 30+ years, Billy Joel finally makes his live debut in Hong Kong, China! Thank you Billy for finally heading this way and, together with your legions of fans in Hong Kong, I hope this will be the first visit of many to come.

On a broader scale, this is another milestone for you as you'll be playing in China for the very first time, and I'm just so glad that you've chosen Hong Kong. It may be worth noting that, for your future tours, the concert scene is red hot in other parts of China as well. Take Shanghai for instance where many international acts have performed already. And Beijing of course, where many big names are looking forward to take to the stage at the Beijing National Stadium a.k.a. the "Bird's Nest" Stadium, where the world recently witnessed the spectacular Olympic Summer Games 2008.

For now though, I am anxiously looking forward to the concert on November 12th at the AsiaWorld Arena, Hong Kong. It's truly a dream come true to finally see you playing here in Hong Kong, when for a very long time, it all seemed quite hopeless, except to envy your fans in Japan where you've performed many times. You have no idea what it means to us !

I wish you a very pleasant stay in Hong Kong and the very best of luck with this concert, and for all the concerts and tours to come in the many years ahead ! Would love to hear new songs and albums from you too !
