my God!!! only the good die young!!
its a GREAT song!!!

Only The Good Die Young.Great Song.

Only the Good Die Young!!!! DUH!! GIVE US A HARD ONE!

Only The Good Die Young

The big shhot?

Artist: The Hassles "Billy Joel's early band" Album: Hour Of The Wolf
Song: Further Than Heaven

Following Lyrics: "Take my hand and run, light years past the sun, we'll sit back and watch everyone, beyond the sky, further than heaven."

Obviously written by Billy Joel so it still counts as a Billy Joel song.

It's a great, yet slightly odd album. I'm a big progressive rock fan as well as a Billy Joel and Ben Folds fan and just about anything else rock. I'd categorize this album as "progressive blues." But for anyone interested in Billy Joel, I'd check Amazon for some Hassles stuff and then check it for Ben Folds "he's not Billy Joel, but he's still one hell of a pianist, vocalist, songwriter, and just musician overall.

OK, thought I was a hard core fan but I'm stumped! Tell us!

Cor blimey, you've got me thinking this time!

I've been falling behind, my ISP lost connection for a few days. But yes I've Loved These Days and Tomorrow Is Today are two of my favorite songs of all time. How about this one, it's Billy Joel, but something a bit more obscure. Take a guess.

"Climb aboard my ship of dreams, it's so near although it seems so far away from you, leave your cluttered world behind, fly away and you will find that all I say, is true."

Ok, I think:
If you don't come I'm sure gonna die in it
Too late too much given,
Seen a lot of life and I'm damn sick of livin' it...

From Tomorrow is Today. Cold Spring Harbour

I always thought that was a great song.
Don't know why I can seem to remember BJ lyrics but have trouble with with 'important' stuff at times..
early dementia?! ( or is that ok at 41, with 3 kids?)

Glad power back to Louisville Joelsgirl - my brother and his wife lived in Louisville for a few years by the way ( I know that is a piece of useless info ) but they have lived in Tokyo for the last 8 years. I must tell him to get tickets to see Billy in November!! So unfair!!
Amanda

OK my power has been out all day but we just got it back. Louisville has about 1 million people in the metro area and 260,000 people without power today. But I got it back in time to get together with my BJ friends so here is another from one of my favorite songs. Give me the name of song and next lyric:

Oh my, I'm goin' to the river
Gonna take a ride and the Lord will deliver me
Make my bed, I'm gonna lie in it

We need another!!!

Jools

.......a string of pearls, a foreign car, oh we can only go so far, on caviar and cabernet....
From I've Loved These Days.
Hope the next line is right as taken from my ever decreasing memory bank.
I remember when I first bought Songs In The Attic which includes this one - I finally found an album that showed Billy in his true light : a great live performer.
Still one of my fave albums.
Summer Highland Falls really is a fantastic song.....
Amanda

OK kids here's another one:

Now as we indulge in things refined
We hide our hearts from harder times

What song??
And what's the next line? (thats for you Bruno - I know you can always come up with the next line!)

Too easy!
Give us another
It was banned by a catholic diocese and he has said in an interview that he wrote to them asking them to ban his next album as well because it increased sales.
