I'm wondering the same thing....I've been waiting for this for so long! I saw him at MSG in 2006 & it was the greatest night of my life. I'm from NJ and was considering going to the Albany, NY show, but with the cost of tickets + hotel for the night it would cost me almost $1000. I can't afford that
The man is a legend and I hope I have the opportunity to see him perform again.
I have all the respect in the world for him and want him to take all the time he needs to devote to family at this time though
Billy Joels' Sax Man Mark Rivera is performing live this Friday Jan 8th in New Haven at Keys to the City at Chapel and Temple.
Probably never, he's taking a year off and probably getting ready to retire. He cancelled his summer gigs with Elton. Just as well as he's starting to look like a Vegas act. Rumor has it he's getting back with gold digger, Katie Lee who's probably broke and missing his money and the fame of being his wife right about now. Offensive? Maybe. Honesty? Yes.
Yes Billy Should play at Jones Beach.He is one of the greats, Of all time New york will love it

piano man we love your brillance in work. i would have never found the love of my life if it wasnt for you. we met over a discussion re: your song piano man( he plays piano and i love piano music) and we both love your music. so please come back to the area to play......LONG Island loves you even though im not a true new yorker.( kentuckian by birth). the lyrics of your songs definately puts me in a new york state of mind......yes this is corny.but i seriously would love to see you in concert/or live venue at some point. in my life. i had great front row tickets several years back for a louisville concert but as flying to NY to spend time with my love, so gave them to a wonderful pediatric cardiologist and his wife(she had polio as child, but teaches special needs kids) and needed seats so that she did not have to walk far and up the stairs. so i felt what better pair to give to..they were very deserving.but always regreted not being able to see you in concert live. ;(...so please come back..................

As a huge fan of this record (all these years it's still on my 10 Desert Island Disc list) I hope that Billy will do a 30th anniversary tour for The Nylon Curtain, playing the entire album from start to finish, akin to Brian Wilson playing "Pet Sounds". From the opening whistle of Allentown to it's reprise to fade out Where's The Orchestra "The Nylon Curtain" if by far Billy's most complete album - and I think it would make an amazing cornerstone for a concert
Does anyone know if Billy still has a house in the Cape Cod area? I shall be visiting the area from the UK this weekend, and am interested to know if I might bump into him!
